Botanical Flowers in Watercolour

Join Emma in this full day workshop where we will be painting botanical flowers.

We will look at how flowers are constructed and create pretty watercolour paintings using hot press watercolour paper. This will be a relaxing workshop, painting in light translucent layers to create watercolour paintings.

You will learn:

drawing skills and how flowers are constructed with shape

light translucent layers in watercolour

painting with hot press paper to create an illustration

fine lines and  how to paint detailed work

colour mixing and mixing greens

** watercolour mixes best on ceramic, so if you have a dinner plate please bring it in to mix your colours** I will provide plastic palettes if you do not have one.

At the end of the workshop we will display all the work within the group and have a small group discussion. You will create an A4 painting which will be ready to frame at home.

This workshop is open to all levels beginner to intermediate, and all are welcome.
