Watercolour Barn Owl

Join Emma in this full day workshop where we will be drawing and painting the proportions and colours of this beautiful bird of prey.

Firstly we will practice the elements in the painting drawing proportions and using watercolour techniques. We will then move onto creating the full painting using high quality materials.

Emma will guide you step by step and help you with your progress individually and as a group.

At the end of the workshop we will display all the work within the group and have a small group discussion. You will create an A4 painting which will be ready to frame at home.

In this workshop you will learn:

drawing techniques

wet on wet and wet on dry watercolour techniques

colour mixing

creating textures using salt

painting a background

the watercolour process

applying masking fluid

knowledge of paper & materials

** watercolour mixes best on ceramic, so if you have a dinner plate please bring it in to mix your colours** I will provide plastic palettes if you do not have one.

This workshop is open to all levels beginner to intermediate, and all are welcome.

All materials are supplied on the day.
