About the Event

Have you ever wondered how an image can be permanently enamelled onto copper?

During this workshop you will learn some of the skills used in this ancient technique. We will work with water based painting enamels on pre-enamelled copper shapes. Be inspired by the flower images provided as you paint in this relaxed workshop. You will learn how to apply painting enamels in layers, making adjustments, before using the kiln to fire your piece after each layer of enamel.

Firing enamel takes moments, unlike firing ceramics, giving quick results. You will first make a pendant, using pre-cut copper shapes. For your second piece you can choose to make either earrings, a brooch or a another pendant, Your jewellery will be finished and ready to take home at the end of the workshop.

Suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some experience.   Please wear covered shoes (not sandals).

All materials and refreshments are provided.

Please can we ask where at all possible that you park in the large car park at the rear of the courtyard. Thank you for you help in this.

Bring your ticket to get 10% off full priced items in the gallery purchased on the day of your workshop.

We reserve the right to cancel workshops at short notice should the minimum required attendees not be reached. Purchased tickets will be transferred to alternate events or refunded should a suitable alternative event not be found.

Full payment required on the purchase of ticket. 50% only refundable on cancellation at any time up to 7 days prior to workshop date. No refund for cancellations within 7 days unless we can fill the space and then a transaction fee of £10 will be taken off the refund.
