Free Motion Seascape Picture

Have you ever tried to draw using your sewing machine? This is a wonderful technique called free motion machine embroidery, and when coupled with using applique fabrics, you will be able to create a beautiful textured seascape picture.

During the workshop I will help you understand how to set up and use your sewing machine so that you can begin to doodle and draw simple shapes. I will demonstrate how to create a background using coloured fabric strips, and how to add detail using both textured fabrics, printed text and appliqued images. I will then help you to create your own unique piece of work which can be mounted and taken with you to be framed.
