Introduction to Felt Making

Learn the ancient craft of felt making with Penny Dixon. 

In this session you will learn how to handle unspun wool and identify a selection of different fibres.  You will learn the process of laying the wool correctly to create a small picture or abstract piece.  Using soap and water you will learn a variety of techniques to agitate the fibres enabling them to form a beautiful strong piece of felted fabric which you will take home with you.

Suitable for beginners. Please bring an old towel and a waterproof carrier bag.

All materials and refreshements are included.

We reserve the right to cancel workshops at short notice should the minimum required attendees not be reached. Purchased tickets will be transferred to alternate events or refunded should a suitable alternative event not be found.
