Magical Hare Painting in Watercolour & Gold Leaf

Paint a magical hare gazing at the moon in watercolour and gold leaf. Emma will guide you step by step, where in the morning you will practice techniques in watercolour that are included in the hare painting. After lunch we will move on to creating the painting, finishing with applying gold leaf to the moon. You will have a finished watercolour painting using top quality materials to frame at home.

In this workshop you will learn:

watercolour techniques including wet on wet and wet on dry

colour mixing

granulation of colour

transferring images from photographs

brush strokes

applying gold leaf and gilding

knowledge of different watercolour papers

splattering with gouache

All levels are welcome as Emma will provide step by step teaching throughout the workshop.

Please bring an old ceramic plate if you wish to colour mix, Emma will supply a plastic palette.

All materials as well as refreshments and a light lunch are included in your ticket price.

We reserve the right to cancel workshops at short notice should the minimum required attendees not be reached. Purchased tickets will be transferred to alternate events or refunded should a suitable alternative event not be found.

Full payment required on the purchase of ticket. 50% only refundable on cancellation at any time up to 14 days prior to workshop date. No refund for cancellations within 13 days unless we can fill the space and then a transaction fee of £10 will be taken off the refund.

Please can we ask, if at all possible, you park in the large rear car park at the back of the courtyard. You will be able to bring your car round to load your work at the end of the session.
