Make a Felted Birdhouse with British Native Breed Wool

At this one-day workshop you will work with feltmake Penny, and explore a varietyof British Native Breed wools. You will learn how they act when felted and how theyinteract with each other. You will learn about characteristics of wool from certain sheep breeds and which are best for felting. You will lay your choice of wool onto a resist and together with soap and water and agitation will work the wool. You will be shown the correct time to remove the resist and continue the process to make a simple hanging birdhouse or plant holder.

Suitable for beginners or those who have felted before. Please bring an old towel and a waterproof carrier bag.

Lunch, as well as cake and drinks throughout the day are included in you ticket price.
