About the Event
Join felt artist Penny to make a stunning wall hanging using tapestry weaving techniques with a large needle on a frame loom.
You will spend a restful session learning how to design and make a unique wall hanging and choose from a variety of 'stitches' that you will be able to use in the future. These range from plain or tabby weave, basket weave or hopsack and twill. Experiment with interlocking shapes and try soumak stitch too.
You can also spend your time just focussing on colour with plain weave. It's all about the restful enjoyment of the process.
Refreshments and lunch are included in your day.
Penny will bring a huge variety of wools but feel free to bring your own colours too. Nothing is off limits with this joyful weaving - sticks and sparkles can all be added too :)
